The Atlanta IP Inn of Court is an organization of Atlanta judges, lawyers, law professors, and law students all focused on Intellectual Property. The Inn meets approximately once a month and hold programs and discussions on matters of ethics, skills, and professionalism relevant to IP attorneys. http://atlantaipinn.org/
For the January 31 meeting, the Inn will be held on Tech's campus in collaboration with GT Pre-Law Advising and all Tech students and alumni are invited to come.

If you're considering going into intellectual property (IP) law and have a technical background, come learn more about what patent agents do. You do not have to go to law school to practice as a patent agent. Many IP attorneys started out as patent agents, but you can practice as an agent without a law degree (Juris Doctor).

Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship →

Where: Woodrow Wilson partner institution in Georgia

Applicants may be college seniors, graduates, or career changers who have completed an undergraduate or graduate major in science, technology, engineering, or math with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. All Fellows receive a $30,000 stipend toward completion of a master's degree program at a Woodrow Wilson partner institution in Georgia, including a full year of rigorous coursework plus classroom experience in a high-need school. In turn, Fellows commit to teach for three years in high-need urban or rural secondary schools with mentoring throughout the entire process. Again, you can learn more at http://woodrow.org/STEM.

Summer Fellowship- Philanthropy, Community, Finance, and Marketing/Communications →

When: Summer 2018
Where: Atlanta, GA

Each year, the Foundation provides a unique summer fellowship experience for an undergraduate student who is interested in philanthropy and the critical issues facing the metro Atlanta region. The summer fellow will work closely with the Foundation’s president and staff, and will be engaged in many aspects of The Foundation’s work—from grantmaking to public policy to donor engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a community foundation over the course of a summer. The fellowship lasts ten (10) weeks with concentrations in the Office of the president, philanthropy, community, finance, and marketing and communications.

Compensation $200 weekly stipend

Mellon Curatorial Summer Academy →

When: February 5th, 2018
Where: High Museum of Art, Atlanta

The Summer Academy is a one-week, paid introduction to the curatorial profession open to first, second, and third year undergraduate students. The week (May 13th – May 19th) includes projects and group activities for fifteen students interested in learning more about what curators do. A stipend and housing for the week are provided.Following the Summer Academy, eligible students are encouraged to apply for a paid two-year curatorial fellowship. All majors are encouraged to apply, and the application deadline is Monday, February 5, 2018.

Remember Game Boys and flip phones or the first email you ever sent? Interested in the histories of hardware and software or retro gaming? The Library's retroTECH Team (http://retrotech.library.gatech.edu/) is seeking applications for students to work with us during the Spring 2018 semester. The paid position (up to 15 hours per week) would involve staffing the retroTECH Lab during open hours, cataloging collections of vintage software and hardware, and assisting with outreach to the GT campus community. Students with interests in the history of technology, games, engineering, computer science, archives, or maker culture are encouraged to apply. This will be an exciting opportunity to work on a project that supports the future of the GT Library and makes for an engaging and unique story to add to your resume.
