The Woodrow Wilson Academy of Teaching and Learning, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is reinventing teacher education for the 21st century. The Academy offers a competency-based master’s degree in education leading towards an initial teacher license at the secondary level (middle and high school) in the following areas: biology (through the Amgen Biology Program), chemistry, and mathematics. Terwilliger Center Intern – Fall 2018 (Year Long) →

Interns will work together with the Terwilliger and Habitat for Humanity team to develop a learning agenda that aligns with your career aspirations while supporting their work in housing sector development. American Red Cross Greater New York interns are involved in projects critical to the day-to-day work of the non-profit organization, gaining an insider’s perspective on the Red Cross humanitarian mission as well as service delivery at the local and national levels. The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) Urban and Regional Policy program (URP) is currently seeking an intern for Fall 2018. The intern's duties include supporting program staff in the implementation of ongoing programming and administrative needs, facilitating research on best practices in urban and regional policy in communities on both sides of the Atlantic, writing and editing materials for the URP team in support of our ongoing programs, tracking and monitoring project status and tasks to be completed, updating the database of URP contacts, and assisting in the planning and implementation of small- and large-scale events and meetings. The Center for Advanced Communications Policy (CACP) seeks an advanced undergraduate or graduate student to support research and outreach efforts for the 2018-2019 academic year. They need a student with an interest in supporting outreach and communication efforts, including website development, PowerPoint and other presentation formats, social media, video clips, and other visual and written content. The assistant also may work with research and staff to conduct literature reviews, write copy for newsletters and CACP’s online newsroom, and to summarize policy related to communications and computing technologies. Desired Capabilities: The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong writing and communications skills, as well as experience in the production of visual and written content. Experience in web design and the use of tools such as Drupal and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Java is strongly preferred. Federal Jackets Fellowship →

This fellowship is offered every semester to selected students who then have the opportunity to work full-time in federal offices in and around Washington D.C. for 16 weeks in the Spring/Fall and 10 weeks in the Summer. There is a $7,500 stipend offered to students in the Spring and Fall, and a $5,000 stipend offered in the Summer to offset any and all costs related to transportation, housing, and living expenses. The program is open to undergraduates (sophomores and above) and graduate students of all majors. International students may also apply, but certain federal offices will only accept applications from United States citizens. The deadline for Spring and Summer 2019 is September 20, 2018 at 12:00 PM. The deadline for Fall 2019 is February 7, 2019 at 12:00 PM.

Georgia Legislative Internship Program →

When: September 24, 2018 at 5:00 PM

The Georgia Legislative Internship Program is offered for the Spring of 2019. It gives students the opportunity to meet state lawmakers and experience the lawmaking process while working full time in and around the State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta. The internship is 12 weeks (January to April). The internship is open to all majors, but only Georgia-resident undergraduates who are sophomores and above can apply. It is a paid internship, and students may also earn up to 12 hours of academic credit. The deadline for the application is September 24th, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
