College of Sciences STEM Communications Student Assistant

Wage: $11.00 per hour HOURS: 15-20 hours a week
Start Date: As soon as possible after January 1, 2018

This position supports the Director of Communications. It is responsible for maintaining social media sites, as well as researching and writing stories assigned by the Director of Communications.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Research, write, and revise stories assigned by the Director of Communications.
• Monitor Daily Digest and Georgia Tech News Buzz for items relevant to the College of Sciences.
• Publish to the College of Sciences website - news, external news, events - through Mercury.
• Research, develop, compose, and schedule the posting of content for College of Sciences' Twitter feed and Facebook page ensuring at least one posting per weekday.
• Cover events as assigned, including conducting interviews and taking photographs.
• Create publicity materials for events and announcements.
• Edit and archive images.

Cartoon Network Games Production Internship →

When: Summer 2018
Where: Atlanta, GA

Assist Game Producers with various production activities as needed. Handle archiving, asset organization, retrieval and distribution of assets for producers; attend meetings; assist in distribution of information among team members, to other departments within Cartoon Network, and to external vendors; help with the tracking of game art production; retrieve and organize stats for various online events; log issues in bug tracking system; some QA testing of games in development and on the live site. This internship will run 12 weeks and required to work between 20-30 hours per week.

The Borgen Project is an innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. This is a part-time 14-hours per week, unpaid telecommuting internship. The internship is 4-months and responsible for leading public and political outreach in the state and district assigned to.
Key Responsibilities:
• Must be available Mondays 4 30-6 00 PM PST for The Borgen Project's national conference call.
• Meet with members of Congress and/or Congressional staffers in your State and District.
