The highly competitive, 10-week, paid internship is designed to allow graduate students to further develop and pursue research in an innovative economic development project. At the end of the internship period, interns, who will receive a $6,000 stipend, will have an opportunity to present their project findings to economic development and innovation groups.

The Smart City and Inclusive Innovation Initiative (SCI2) here at Georgia Tech is excited to announce our Georgia Smart Community Corps Summer Internship Program is back for a second year.

The Smart Community Corps is the first statewide program of its kind placing Georgia Tech students into local governments to support smart community projects. SCI2 created this program to give Georgia Tech students access to real-life civic experience during the summer.

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms' Office of Immigrant Affairs - Welcoming Atlanta is accepting applications for the 2020 Summer Public Service Internship (PSI).

The Public Service Internship is a PAID summer program that allows individuals to participate and learn about City agencies. In addition to learning about City government, the program offers seminars and exposes students to professional environments with influential businesses and organizations in the City of Atlanta. The program will expose students to the following agencies: the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta Police Department, Public Safety Annex, Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Invest Atlanta, International Affairs, and other public-private partnerships.

Interns will have the opportunity to directly work with the Welcoming Atlanta staff on ongoing projects, or the flexibility to create and coordinate an effective and engaging project. Some administrative duties, such as answering phones or attending events on the weekend, are required.
