What do you like best about your major?
I love the creative expression I get to use through my major. It allows me to pursue my passions.

What do you love about liberal arts at Georgia Tech?
I love being able to learn through a creative and artistic lens while focusing on science and technology. It combines two important aspects of education and expression which is unique because many Universities do not have this same liberal arts layout.

I enjoy the diversity of the LMC major.  Essentially, students have the opportunity to pursue various career pathways, and will be well-equipped due to the LMC major's combination of the humanities and STEM.

What do you love about liberal arts at Georgia Tech?
I love liberal arts at Georgia Tech for multiple reasons.  First, the academic advisors are incredibly supportive and prioritize helping students find their place at GT.  Also, the Bachelors of Science instead of Bachelors of Arts provides students with a holistic perspective of the world that gives us a competitive edge during career searches.

What do you love about liberal arts at Georgia Tech?
What I love about liberal arts at Georgia Tech is that it provides me with all sorts of opportunities that I would have never considered elsewhere. Our world only continues to get more technologically advanced, and the Georgia Tech community mirrors that. I love that I get a chance to bridge the gap between technology and liberal arts in my studies!

What activities are you involved in on campus?
GT Tekstyles A-Team, DramaTech Theatre Costumes Department

What internship, job, research, study abroad, or other academic experiences do you have?
Over the summer, I worked as a student mediator for an organization called Science Gallery Atlanta. As an organization, they strive to bring together science, art, technology, and design to create and deliver educational and cultural experiences to the public. The most recent exhibit was called JUSTICE. JUSTICE examines the relationships between individuals and the systems that impact their lives. As a mediator, I got to interact with guests and converse with them about the different gallery pieces. It was a really cool experience to not only be able to examine the space and the different exhibits but also to interact with guests and see how the gallery impacted them. I'm currently working as a student assistant for the Institute of Electronics and Nanotechnology.

What do you like best about your major?
LMC is a very broad and customizable major. I like how we are able to choose two out of the six threads to make this major our own. I don’t really have an exact plan about what I want to do in the future after I graduate, but I like how, with LMC, there are so many different fields I could potentially go into. The skills of communication are applicable to any job I could find myself in in the future. As an LMC major, I have the freedom to explore all sorts of interests I may have.

What do you love about liberal arts at Georgia Tech?
I love that even though I am in a liberal arts major, I still am able to explore STEM. I have access to a wide variety of resources for both the humanities and STEM. The rigorous STEM courses needed for Georgia Tech general education requirements have adequately prepared me to be able to work as a student assistant for the Institute of Electronics and Nanotechnology here. Where else would I be able to be a liberal arts major and work with all sorts of high-tech nanotechnology equipment? A lot of the LMC classes I plan on taking also have a STEM focus (but they’re a lot more interesting than your traditional STEM classes.)
