Arts at Tech Community Salon at Museum of Papermaking

Date(s):
February 12, 2025, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Location:
500 10th Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30332

Join Arts at Tech and the Robert C Williams Museum of Papermaking for the February Arts at Tech Community Salon celebrating the museum's newest exhibit, Night Circus.

Arts at Tech Community salons are monthly opportunities to gather in community, share insights, and get inspired. There will be opportunities to learn about the many arts-related efforts and arts resources around campus and to connect with fellow arts leaders at Tech.

The Night Circus exhibition features approximately 31 works by members of the Guild of Book Workers, a book artists organization that promotes interest in and awareness of the tradition of the book and paper arts by maintaining high standards of workmanship, hosting educational opportunities, and sponsoring exhibits. Members were invited to interpret the theme of Night Circus, invoking curiosity with its spectacle, fascination with artistry and performance, exploration of the mysterious and luminous, investigation of clandestine actions and secret knowledge, and embrace of chaos and otherness.

Come enjoy the exhibit, learn a bit about the amazing work the Paper Museum is doing, and -- of course -- connect with other arts-interested faculty and staff, share insights and resources, and enjoy some treats!

When: February 13th, 4:00-5:00 PM
We will adjourn to the general reception for Night Circus, which will extend until 7 PM.

Where: Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking, 500 10th St NW
