  • Birchfield Rises to the Rank of Officer of France’s National Order of Merit

    Vicki Birchfield, a professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech’s Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, was promoted from the rank of Knight to Officer of France's National Order of Merit. Birchfield was recognized for her deep commitment to French-American relations and friendship through her ongoing scholarship and role in educating students about France and the European Union.

  • Priti Bhatia Honored With APPA Pacesetter Award

    Priti Bhatia, the director of facilities and capital planning for the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, was one of three people nationwide to receive the 2023 Pacesetter Award from the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA). Bhatia and other award winners will be honored at the APPA spring conference, which will be held in Nashville in April.

This spring, she will study advanced Chinese on a Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad scholarship at Tamkang University in Taiwan — the same place her grandmother studied English over 50 years ago.
