Omar Asensio Awarded 40 for 40 Fellowship by the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management

Omar Isaac Asensio, an assistant professor in the Georgia Institute of Technology School of Public Policy, has been awarded the 40 for 40 Fellowship by the Association for Public Policy and Management (APPAM). This 2018-exclusive program provides funding for 40 outstanding early career research professionals to attend APPAM’s Fall Research Conference, which is a premier conference for attracting high-quality work on a wide variety of current and emerging policy and management issues.

LMC Professor TyAnna Herrington Passes Away

TyAnna K. (Ty) Herrington, who was on faculty for 21 years in the Ivan Allen College School of Literature, Media, and Communication, passed away on July 31, 2018.
A memorial will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 4:00 – 6:00 pm at one of Ty’s favorite placed, the MidCity Café at 850 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, 30308. Remarks will be made and attendees are invited to share any remembrances.
