Rubin Writes Chapter in Sectarianism, Proxies and De-sectarianisation Report

Lawrence Rubin, an associate professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, contributed a chapter in Sectarianism, Proxies, and De-sectarianisation (SEPAD) report Saudi Arabia, Iran and De-Escalation in the Persian Gulf. His piece, “Saudi Arabia, Iran and the United States,” discusses the role the U.S. has in the rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Omar Asensio, assistant professor in the School of Public Policy, has been named recipient of a 2020 National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, a prestigious recognition honoring top junior faculty. The award, given out as part of the NSF's Faculty Early Career Development Program, recognizes faculty "who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization."
